Lap Pool Classes

Aqua Bootcamp: Intense, athletic cardio and strength training using the full benefit of H2O resistance.

Aqua Cardio Blast: Longer, more intense cardiovascular workout. Add strengthening and flexibility.

Aqua Combo: Using both traditional cardio training and sports-based cardio. Ample resistance segment.

Aquatic Cross Train: Sports based aquatic program giving a creative and energizing class.

Cardiac Rehab: **NOTE** Cardiac Rehab will be using the pool at these times.

Deep Cardio & Core: All the benefits of deep water training with a special emphasis on the core.

Deep H2O: Make the water your personal trainer with this deep water interval. Includes abs and lower back.

H2O Combo: Various types of water exercise are incorporated in this super workout.

Making Waves: Cardio and strength training at it’s best. Class uses all your favorite aqua equipment.

Water Running: Feel the ultimate resistance in the water. Great cross training for athletes.

Water Wake Up: Get motivated for the day with this early morning cardio and resistance workout.

Therapy Pool Classes

Aqua Fit: Challenging cardio/resistance training program for those warm water exercisers. Fun workout!

Arthritis Plus: For people with Arthritis. Increase range of motion & strengthen muscles and joints.

Move ‘N Stretch: Warm water class focusing on posture, stretching, and aerobic conditioning.

Orthofit: Class designed for individuals with a variety of musculoskeletal limitations. Resistance training.


Community Exercise Classes are now available for HWC members at no additional fee. Registration is REQUIRED through the Community Health & Outreach Department for both members and non-members. They are highlighted on the schedule.

AiChi: Mild aerobic and relaxation program, peformed in shoulder level warm water. Aquatic Tai Chi.

Prenatal Aqua: Exercise in the comfort of water to maintain health prior to childbirth.

LEVEL 1: Appropriate for people that would benefit from the cooler water temperature. (i.e. Multiple sclerosis, cardiac patients)

LEVEL 2: Appropriate for people that would benefit from the warm water and a low impact class.

LEVEL 3: Appropriate for people that would benefit from a higher level exercise in warm water temperature.


# Master Swim: To compete in a Masters competition, a minimum age of 19 is required. It is recommended that participants feel comfortable swimming freestyle with efficient side breathing technique. A $10 monthly pool usage fee is required. The entire pool is reserved for Master Swim during class times. Pool usage aside from Master Swim is dependent on Master Swim attendance.


Orthokids Program Dates: (May 12 - June 20) (Aug. 18 - Sept. 26th) (Nov. 10 - Dec. 19th). During these dates classes for children with special needs will be taking place in the Therapy Pool.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Classes and instructors may change due to low attendance at any time.

2. * Registration is required through Community Education for these classes.

3. # Master Swim times reserve the entire lap pool. Additional usage depends on the number of swimmers in attendance.

4. Three lap lanes will remain open for Lap Swimming. If classes become over-populated it may be necessary to open a lap lane. This choice will be at the instructor’s discretion.

5. Orthofit classes for children with special pool usage needs may also be taking place.
