Massage Therapy
With five rooms to relax and renew, your appointment to unwind is just a phone call away. Our massage therapists are licensed and qualified to perform a variety of massages.
The benefits of massage are many. Skillful manipulation of muscles assists the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluid, stimulates the organs of digestion and improves the performance of the lungs and skin. As the muscles improve in tone, so do the nerves that supply them, right back to the spinal cord and the brain. Most people find massage increases awareness of the body, raising levels of energy and leading to an enhanced feeling of well-being. Massage can be used to help preserve health and modify illness.

Types of Massage
Aromatherapy:
- Use of essential oils to reduce stress and tension, refresh and invigorate the body, soothe emotions, and clear the mind.
- Essential oils are used in conjunction with other appropriate techniques, such as massage or reflexology. The essential oil is absorbed through the skin and into the body to affect physiological change. When inhaled the aroma directly affects the limbic area of the brain that is related to emotions and memories.
Craniosacral
- Focuses on the skull and spinal column using gentle pressure to massage the bones, membranes, and fluids that support and bathe your skull and spinal column.
Deep Tissue
- Targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the surface of your body.
- Involves slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the grain of the muscles.
Lymphatic
- Helps to increase lymph flow which removes harmful substances from the tissues and increases immune function.
- Can be useful in cases of edema, sports injury or for people to experiencing a sluggish immune system or lack of energy.
- Can help treat migraines, sinusitis, acne and high blood pressure.
Myofascial
- Works by the manipulation of the fascia that connects and surrounds muscles.
- The fascia responds to the trained touch to release the adverse effects of inflammation, tensions, and trauma.
Prenatal and Postnatal
- Relieves tensions and aches caused by the extra weight and shift in the center of gravity to the body.
- Reduces swelling, soothes the nervous system, reduces excess fluid retention, reduces fatigue, and enhances energy.
Reflexology
- A therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulations pressure points on the feet and hands. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort.
Reiki
- A healing technique of transmitting life energy by placing the hands gently in specific positions either on or above the body.
- This laying-on of hands is designed to relieve pain, restore vitality, and heal illnesses.
Seated
- Techniques focus on the areas where most people carry their tension: the back, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands.
Sports
- Typically used before, during, and after athletic events to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility, and to prevent injuries.
Swedish
- Includes long gliding strokes, kneading, and friction, tapping, and shaking motions.
- It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, and promotes health and well being.
Thai
- The manipulation of the body applying pressure along meridian lines with thumbs, hands, and feet to stimulate the movement of energy in the body, and in addition, move and stretch in Yoga-like poses to free muscular and joint tension. Designed to be both relaxing and stimulating.
- Improves flexibility, reduces tension, stimulates internal organs, and balances the body's energy system.
Therapeutic Touch:
- A laying-on-of-hands technique that doesn't actually touch the body but touches the energy field around it.
- Restores health by sensing and adjusting the energy fields to restore health and promote well-being.
Trigger Point
- Pressure applied to specific points on the body to release muscular tension and balance the body's energy.
